The Usual Error

Communication and Problem Solving for a Better Life

Welcome!

The Usual Error is a series of workshops about communication and problem solving, presented by Kyeli and Pace Smith. It's an interactive discussion where we present the many ways the three of us communicate -- not just with each other, but with our friends and with the world at large; tried and true methods of successful interaction that work very well for us and are easy to learn, integrate, and implement (or ignore, if you so choose!).

We love giving these workshops. It's a lot of fun for us and we're very passionate about it! We've spent huge chunks of our lives practicing our communication and problem solving skills, and it thrills us when we're able to help others by sharing our experiences.

Our workshops cover many topics, in these categories:

We want to give these workshops to you and your friends!

Pricing is $20 per person for a two-hour workshop, on a sliding scale. No one will ever be turned away for lack of funds. We are fiercely anti-shame, so don't worry about anyone looking at you askance for the amount you choose to pay (or not). We promise to put our profits toward causes we think are worthy, including expanding The Usual Error to get this information to more people. We will make our financial records publicly available, so you can see where your money is going.

We also love to go on road trips! The pricing for non-Austin workshops varies based on location and schedule. Whether you're local or far away, just send us an email at info@usualerror.com and we can work out the details.

People like it a lot!

We've given these workshops 15 times so far, and each time people have said it's been really helpful and informative, sometimes even life-changing!
